What tastes like bacon? You do, apparently. Well, humans in general, according to an experimental robot. It seems the robot can easily distinguish between different varieties of wine, but mistakes TV news crews for pig products.
It’s surely only a matter of time before a more sophisticated model detects the bacon and grills the reporter before serving him in a sandwich. I don’t think Asimov’s Laws of Robotics include “a robot must not mistake a human being for tasty foodstuffs”, so I don’t think the concerns expressed by Good Morning Silicon Valley are going to stop the march of the robots…
