Winter seems to have arrived

It was a wee bit chilly this morning. I’m not sure if it had snowed overnight, or it was just a heavy frost, but there was lots of icy stuff around on my way to work.

Lunchtime was not so cold, and the clear sky and bright sun encouraged me to get out and take some pictures. I’ve already sorted out the Westgate House ones, and there are a few more to follow.

Got the bus home, as I was a bit tired, and decided to take a night off the exercise thingy.

Today’s weight shows a nice recovery from the weekend bloat, which is good.

Oh, and it was snowing earlier. Nothing sticking on the ground so far, though…

Westgate House: Stripped Bare

A date to remember

I walked past Westgate House yesterday on my way back from the station and saw that there had been some developments. The boards that have surrounded the site are almost all gone, the scaffolding is completely gone, and they seem to be piling up loads of soil below the remains of the building. And this sign confirms the date of what a lot of people have been waiting for: the final removal of the damn thing. :bouncy:

There are more pictures in the gallery, including some of the work going on at the back of the building.

Unless something gets in the way, I’ll be there at some time on Sunday to see the machines in action. :bouncy: Expect some pictures of that, and more once the site is clear.

Biplane Dinosaurs?

BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | Flying dinos had bi-plane design

This may well be one of those bits of scientific analysis that gets contradicted by another one very quickly, or just gets forgotten, but there is something really cool about flying dinosaurs looking like biplanes.
