As is often the case, my tuit supply is low, so I haven’t got round to sorting out all my recent photographs, but I thought I’d make the effort for this one. This shows the scaffolders setting up on the John Dobson Street[1] elevation of the library. The wooden structure seems to be a chute down which chunks of library will presumably be dropped before being taken away. But what I like about this one is the position the man is in. OK, he does have a safety line, but that still looks quite precarious. I’m quite sure I couldn’t do that…
[1] That distinctly unattractive street named after the architect responsible for so many of Newcastle’s best buildings, that I mentioned recently.
