Make up your minds!
Incredibly, the game of advanced silly buggers being played by Virgin Media and Sky is still dragging on. It’s reported that Virgin are now not sure if they’re going to follow through with their threat to take Sky to court, despite the fact that there has not been any development in the situation. It seems they’re not actually talking to each other.
Virgin really need to get their act together – Sky are running very aggressive advertising campaigns in an effort to entice Virgin customers to switch….

Of course, everyone knows that nobody actually used the exact words “Beam me up, Scotty” in the classic Star Trek series, but it’s entered into popular mythology along with “Elementary, my dear Watson” and other such misquotations.
But now a small part of the late James Doohan should soon be heading into space. Not quite by Star Trek-style transporter, but in a rocket, along with the ashes of 200 other people.
Google Wuvs Me
I was looking through my website statistics earlier. I always like to have a look at what search phrases people have used that led them to this odd little site. Quite apart from the usual Doctor Who, Life on Mars and Primeval suspects, I noticed a few hits in the last couple of days for “newcastle library photographs”. I decided to have a quick Google on that, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the first hit as of this evening was my first batch of demolition pictures.
Of course, by next week, it’ll probably be some other site in the top position, but for now I’ll bask in what little glory I have. 
Mountainous Monday
Ewww! Monday’s weight was the most alarming for a while. I’m sure it’ll go down again soon[1], but that really is much too high, mutter.
