There’s more to Safari than I realised
Bob[1] alerted me to this nifty article: 8 Powerful Features of Safari That Few People Know About which documents a few things I hadn’t realised yet (and a few I had).
I’m particularly impressed with the “Snapback” thingy – I’d seen the little arrow thing, but hadn’t realised that it was doing something clever. And the URL Path Navigation trick is going to be useful, too.
[1] Hi Bob!
Final Thoughts from Sir Arthur C. Clarke
IEEE Spectrum has the last interview given by Sir Arthur C Clarke before his recent death. Worth a read.

On a lighter note, the Userfriendly webcomic has this little tribute.
The Colour of Magic on Sky One
For the benefit of UK readers with Sky TV, I’d just like to mention that an adaptation of the first two of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels, The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic is showing tonight and tomorrow on Sky One.
UK readers with Virgin TV can join me in muttering rude things about the inability of Sky and Virgin to agree terms that would have allowed us to see this on TV. Naughtier viewers may do downloading things, while the rest of us wait for the DVD.
I’m a little dubious about some aspects of this adaptation[1], mostly the casting of David Jason as Rincewind. My mental image of Rincewind is someone altogether younger and scrawnier, but maybe that’s just me. Twoflower, the Discworld’s “first tourist” is being played by Sam Gamgee Sean Astin.

Ooopsie. Yes, back up again today. Ummmm, now where did I put the “excuse of the day” file?
