Gateshead Car Park Demolition – the Beginning
As I may have mentioned in passing over the last few weeks, the long-awaited and long-overdue demolition of the Gateshead Multi-Story Car Park and the surrounding concrete mess known as Trinity Square is finally going ahead. I’ll be following the project as it continues over the coming months, and you can expect lots of pictures of the work.
So here are the results of my first two passes – nothing very exciting so far, just a temporary fence to close off the site, followed by a more substantial wooden hoarding that will presumably remain in place for the duration of the contract. But hey, it’s a start!
Weight Report – 16 April 2008
So, no change today, which is OK, I guess.
I took the bus to work this morning, on the very sound grounds that I couldn’t be bothered walking, so there. I’m afraid I also had a lapse and succumbed to the lure of the sausage rolls, shock, horror, sensation, etc.
On the other hand, I did walk home, which sort of makes up for it.
