New Waters of Mars Trailer
It’s a good day for Doctor Who news!
There’s a new trailer for the next special (still due to be shown “Novemberish”, I believe) available on the BBC site. It’s a BBC iPlayer thingy, and won’t be visible outside the UK[1].
Lots of drama to come, and a reminder of that prediction from the end of Planet of the Dead. “He will knock four times,” we’re told. And I think we now know (rather than suspect) who’d going to be knocking…

The Master Returns!
Well, it had to be something really big to see off David Tennant’s Doctor, and who better for that than the delightfully evil most villainous villain of them all[1], the Master?
As many of us suspected, his death wasn’t entirely final[2], and he’ll be back for the double episode finale at Christmas.
I’m grinning like a thing that grins a lot on a happy day. This means that the final specials are not just going to be huge, dramatic and moving[3], but enormous fun, too!
BBC – Doctor Who – John Simm returns as the Master.
[1] Daleks will kill you because you’re not a Dalek. Cybermen will kill you because, like a five year old PC, you’re not worth upgrading. The Master[4] will kill you because it’s fun.
[2] Long-time fans will remember his habit of surviving certain death on numerous occasions
[3] The departure of the Tenth Doctor is guaranteed to be a bit weepy…
[4] Even more so in his current incarnation
