6 Music Lives!

You might recall me muttering about the fiendish plot to close 6 Music a while ago. Well, a lot of people got quite annoyed about it, lots of protests were made, and it seems that the BBC Trust have decided that paying attention to the audience is more important than listening to management droids, with the result that the official word is that 6 Music isn’t going anywhere.

What the Trust have said is that if the BBC Manglement want to have a more general review of how they deal with digital radio in general, then that’s a discussion that can be had, so things may change in the future. But for now, we get to keep the bestest music radio station ever, so there.

Stuff Report – 5 July 2010

Yes, the weight bits of these daily doses of, err, stuff are on hold for a while, as I’m not in my usual location, and the Losing it[1] scales would have been a bit awkward[1] to fit in my suitcase.

Today’s activity involved a trip to the Gower, stopping at several quite lovely locations. Pictures were taken. Here’s the first – this is the lifeboat station at Mumbles Pier, near Swansea. Anyone wondering if Mumbles is anywhere near Mutters obviously knows me too well.
