After a good dinner at a Greek restaurant, we went for a walk along the promenade. I took a couple of pictures of the outgoing tide with my iPhone, and this one looks something like what the real thing looked like:
And then there was the little matter of the pier, where a fine British tradition is being maintained: punning names.

Today, my brother and I set off bright and moderately early to travel from Pencoed to Aberystwyth. The forecast was for rain, and they got that right. We stopped at a few places along the way, and I managed to get some pictures of some nice bits of coastline, which were possibly not at their best. Here’s a sample:
After checking in at our hotel, we went for a walk in the rain before deciding that stopping for a drink and a snack at a handy Wetherspoon’s was a better idea. After that, the rain stopped and we had a bit of a walk to the harbour and along the seafront, where the waves were getting a bit excited:
The rain is expected to stay away tomorrow, and we’re planning a ride on a steam train.
More pictures when I’m back on a fixed internet connection.
