Yes, it’s that time again! A new version of WordPress is on the way, and the first beta is now ready for testing and seeing what you can break.

As always, don’t install a beta on a live site unless you really know what you’re doing and you’ve got backups of your backups all nicely backed up. Did I mention backups?

The new version includes some prettification of the admin interface, and a new fancy media uploader, which does look like an improvement on the current Flash-based one.

Good stuff, down again today, despite an ongoing shortfall in the exercise department. I did have a bit of a walk at lunchtime, but it wasn’t particularly energetic.

Today’s picture is another bit of oddness. Following the recent panoramic episode, I decided to try a vertical autostitching thingy. Some of my attempts failed a bit, as I think the camera didn’t like being rolled over backwards to complete the shot, but this one more or less works.
