Well, having had a bit of fun riffing on A Christmas Carol last year, it seems Steven Moffat is working on a literary theme for his specials. The title of this year’s best thing about December is the quite nicely silly The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe, and judging by the trailer, it does look suspiciously Narnian. And I should know, I once played Aslan in a school production of the C S Lewis version.

And you’ll need to make the most of this one – it seems the next series won’t be starting until the Autumn of 2012 rather than the usual Spring.
