Hmmm, down a teeny bit today.
It was a bit dull and grey this morning, so I decided not to think about going out anywhere. This turned out to be a good move, as it got a bit wet. OK, it rained. It rained seriously heavily. Hail, lightning, thunder[1], plagues of frogs[2], the road outside turned into a stream, the side road into a river, and there was much weeping and wailing and renewed use of #toonflood on Twitter.
Reports suggest that it wasn’t quite as bad as the storm in late June, but it did involve roads becoming impassable, the Metro having to suspend some services and Newcastle Central station flooding. Again.
A picture being widely retweeted shows a bus in severe difficulty:

The best I could do was this iPhone picture from my window. I wasn’t going to attempt to go outside….

UFA!!!!
Oh, and, um, that’s a tad damp. We had some heavyish rain here yesterday but nothing that extreme.
So much rain fell in a short space of time that the drains couldn’t handle it. Not sure how the bus driver managed to drive into that….
He/she was probably texting at the time.
