Down again today, yay.
After yesterday’s entertaining weather, the forecast was for more of the same today. But I managed to get out for a walk at lunchtime before anything started. I went over the currently closed to traffic Swing Bridge to see how much damage had been done by yesterday’s weather – a section of the road on the Gateshead side has collapsed quite thoroughly, so some work will need to be done there.
As I’d been expecting some nasty weather, the only camera I had with my was my iPhone, but I got a moderately nice shot of some bridges:

Then I took an indirect route back to work, as you can see here:

Oh, and while I was out, I saw something that puzzled me:
Aperture: ƒ/2.4

I wonder where Ma has got to?
The rain showed up at around 3pm, which was an hour earlier than the Dire Warnings. It was pretty heavy, and there was a bit more flooding, but it seems to have been not quite as bad as yesterday. Though that is now definitely enough rain for the moment, OK? We’ve really got enough water, so a bit of not raining would be nice.
