Today’s weightless report[1] starts with the shocking news that it hasn’t rained much today, so my brother[3] and I carried out our Cunning Plan to visit the transport rally at the Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway. This involved a couple of short train rides, a good look at some old vehicles and some nifty model railway layouts. All good fun.
After that, we stopped off at Pontymoile Basin on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal to have a look at some boats and enjoy a very nice bacon baguette.
Pictures were taken, and will follow on the usual “when I get around to it” basis, but here’s a sample for now. This is one of the famous Green Goddess fire engines.
