There seems to be an entertaining issue with Apple’s iCloud service. Everyone who migrated from the old (and not terribly good) MobileMe was given a free upgrade to 25GB storage, which was due to expire yesterday. Customers could choose to pay for the storage or scale down to the free 5GB package.

But it seems that either Apple has had a fit of generosity, or someone has pressed the wrong button:

I saw a few reports of this, and it would seem to be very widespread. Unless they change that (which seems likely), I’m likely to expire before my iCloud plan does….
