Down this evening, which may be related to some activity.
I walked as far as Gateshead this morning, then got the Metro to Central, as I needed to collect some tickets from the magic machine[1]. I walked to the office from there, which is a moderate distance. Here’s what Garmin made of it (the straight line being the Metro bit):
At lunchtime, I had a bit of a wander with the Canon 5D Mark III and the Holga DSLR Wheel thingy. I tested all the options on both wheels, and got some moderately pleasing pictures, including this multiple clock:
Shutter speed: 1/15s
ISO: 400
Location: 54° 58.4597′ 0″ N 1° 36.7062′ 0″ W
Taken: 9 January, 2013
And this starburst effect has a certain something:
Shutter speed: 1/100s
ISO: 12800
Location: 54° 58.3976′ 0″ N 1° 36.7732′ 0″ W
Taken: 9 January, 2013
I haven’t done any significant processing on these – that would be a bit silly, really. Looking at the serious vignettes here, it looks like the toy would be more suited to a camera with a smaller sensor, but i still like the low-fi grungy sort of look. Even if it is a very silly thing to do with a high-end full-frame DSLR.
I remembered to start the Garmin app again just before I began taking photographs, so here’s the evidence of that:
And finally, in a surprise development, I was persuaded to walk home. It was good practice for my new shoes, I suppose..
Can this possibly continue?
[1] Not for me this time. I won’t be travelling for a few weeks at least…

How does one “…one anything significant…” to anything?
Errr, what? You’re making no sense at all![2]
[2] Any allegation that I have fixed any alleged typos will be denied. Allegedly.
