Down a wee bit today, how exciting…
After the usual breakfast and shopping thingy this morning, I took the bus into Gateshead then had a wander down towards the river. I passed
the Sage, oh sorry, it seems to be having a bit of a re-branding exercise. Apparently it’s not The Sage Gateshead any more. Perhaps they now come in six packs.

At first, I thought maybe somebody had nicked the The, but the sign on the other side of the building is the same, and the lettering over the doors now reads “Sage Gateshead”. All a bit silly, as the traces of the removed letters will more than likely linger for a long time.
But that was a minor issue to something I saw a little further on. Somebody’s knocked down the graffiti wall!

Presumably the site is going to be redeveloped after many years of abandonment, but it’s a shame the wall had to go. Some of the work I’ve enjoyed there was lovely.
After that, I went to the Baltic for a repeat viewing of the exhibits I saw last time. I did think about going somewhere else, but it was getting windy in a seriously chilly sort of way, so I decided to call it a day and came home.
 No, that wasn’t a musical reference. Though maybe it should be
