Well, that’s April over and done with, which of course means it’s time for this thingy.
There have been some downs and ups this month, though mostly up in the last few weeks
April 1: 218 pounds (15 stone 8 pounds, 98.9 kg)
April 30: 218.8 pounds (15 stone 8.8 pounds, 99.2 kg)
That’s a statistically insignificant rise of 0.8 pounds (0.4kg), but it’s about four pounds (1.8kg) more than my lowest weight of the month, oops.
Generally being quite good, especially at lunchtime. The less wine thing is currently on hold, which might account for the lack of weight loss in recent weeks. Oops.
I’ve managed a few walks, but not as many as I’d have liked.
This report brings the April total to 40, which is still on the low side.
Did I mention I got a
new guitar? Well, I’m still working on that. More reports to follow, as time allows…

Aaaaaaand back down a wee bit today. How random.
Today’s photo is another view of Carlisle Castle. Who knows, this weekend I might actually get a chance to get out and take some fresh ones…
Camera: X-E2 Aperture: ƒ/6.4 Shutter speed: 1/800s Focal length: 18mm ISO: 800 Taken: 29 March, 2014
Weight: 219.2 pounds (15 stone 9.2 pounds, 99.4 kg) Steps taken: 4,162
Hmmm, up again today…
Just time for a photo – this is the rear view of the Spanish City in Whitley Bay. There used to be an amusement park behind it, but that was replaced by a school some years ago. I’ve cropped this image down to isolate the dome and hide the boring gates and things…
The Spanish City
Camera: X-E2 Aperture: ƒ/8 Shutter speed: 1/1500s Focal length: 55mm ISO: 400 Taken: 19 April, 2014
Weight: 218 pounds (15 stone 8 pounds, 98.9 kg) Steps taken: 4,247
Hmmm, down again at the start of the week…
Still a bit of a lack of fresh photography, so here’s another view of my Strat:
Camera: X-E2 Aperture: ƒ/2.4 Shutter speed: 1/60s Focal length: 60mm ISO: 1000 Taken: 19 April, 2014
Weight: 219.5 pounds (15 stone 9.5 pounds, 99.6 kg) Steps taken: 6,864
Hmm, up again…
Having had a day in yesterday, other than breakfast and shopping, I was determined to get out for a while today, but the miserable damp weather restricted this to a bit of a wander around the shops.
Here’s a view of something I’m spending a lot of time with:
Camera: X-E2 Aperture: ƒ/7.1 Shutter speed: 1/10s Focal length: 46.3mm ISO: 6400 Taken: 22 April, 2014
Weight: 218.3 pounds (15 stone 8.3 pounds, 99 kg) Steps taken: 2,458
Down a wee bit today…
No fresh photos today, so it’s a return to Carlisle and the Cursing Stone:
Camera: X-E2 Aperture: ƒ/4.5 Shutter speed: 1/60s Focal length: 24.3mm ISO: 1000 Taken: 29 March, 2014
Weight: 218.7 pounds (15 stone 8.7 pounds, 99.2 kg) Steps taken: 4,702
Ho hum, up again today. No long walks today, and only a brief escape from the office at lunchtime…
Today’s photo is of what I’m afraid I’ll have to call one of Newcastle’s iconic buildings, Cross House:
Camera: X-E2 Aperture: ƒ/6.4 Shutter speed: 1/900s Focal length: 18mm ISO: 400 Taken: 23 March, 2014
Weight: 217.6 pounds (15 stone 7.6 pounds, 98.7 kg) Steps taken: 7,482
And today’s random variation is a downward one, yay. Or something like that, anyway.
I had a slightly different work day – I had to go to Darlington to visit some people and look at some things, which let me have a nice walk from the station to the place I was going. And back.
Today’s photo is of those lively giant sandcastle thingies at Whitley Bay:

 Commercially sensitive information.
Really. I could tell you more, but then one of us would have to shoot somebody, or something like that
Weight: 219.9 pounds (15 stone 9.9 pounds, 99.7 kg) Steps taken: 3,843
Hmmm, up again, which isn’t very good.
Anyway, here’s a photo of a flower:
Camera: X-E2 Aperture: ƒ/2.8 Shutter speed: 1/2000s Focal length: 18.8mm ISO: 400 Taken: 19 April, 2014
Weight: 218.5 pounds (15 stone 8.5 pounds, 99.1 kg) Steps taken: 4,356
Down a bit today. To celebrate going back to work, I had my hair cut and got some discount chocolate
Here’s a picture of some green rocks. You’d think they’d try to keep them a bit cleaner than that…
Camera: X-E2 Aperture: ƒ/11 Shutter speed: 1/340s Focal length: 18mm ISO: 400 Taken: 19 April, 2014
