Down by the tiniest amount today. So I think the scale may have been lying over the last few weeks, mutter. Either that or it’s now excited about having new batteries and has taken to exaggeration. Ho hum, etc.
As planned, I’ve had a quiet day in, getting the washing done and catching up on some more TV from the last few weeks. The threatened rain did show up, and was moderately heavy for a while, but not as bad as some parts of the country have seen.
Today’s photo is of the Tyne Bridge, currently promoting this year’s Great North Run and claiming that the one millionth runner will be part of the event. I’m not entirely convinced, as I suspect quite a lot of people have done it more than once, so the count may be out. Though they’re probably using the same kind of maths that suggests that ten times the population of London use Oxford Circus station.
