Down a wee bit today…
It’s been a quiet bank holiday Monday today. The weather wasn’t bad here (wet in other parts of the country, I hear), but I lacked the motivation to go anywhere or do much at all, so I didn’t.
Today’s photo is of Ovingham Bridge, which links Prudhoe to Ovingham (oddly enough). It’s currently closed for “refurbishment”, which will involve replacing the road deck and various components. It’s a very narrow bridge, which can only carry lighter vehicles, and apparently requires drivers to pay attention to what’s coming from the other end – there are no lights or signals controlling traffic. This is the bridge I’d previously spotted and thought looked interesting – now I’ll have to go back next year when it re-opens…
