I decided to treat myself to a footlong sweet onion chicken teriyaki from those nice Subway people today, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the UK operation has caught up with something they’ve been doing in North America for a while: you can now have your Sub toasted. They put the main ingredient and the cheese on the bread, and pop it in this nifty little oven thingy, and out it comes with the cheese melted and the bread nicely crisped.
This not only improves the eating experience, but it also stops the last bit of the sarnie going soggy before you can eat it. Result.
 Or so I hear
 Hi David
 Did I just say that?
