Nice lunch

I decided to treat myself to a footlong sweet onion chicken teriyaki from those nice Subway people today, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the UK operation has caught up with something they’ve been doing in North America[1] for a while: you can now have your Sub toasted. They put the main ingredient and the cheese on the bread, and pop it in this nifty little oven thingy, and out it comes with the cheese melted and the bread nicely crisped.

This not only improves the eating experience[3], but it also stops the last bit of the sarnie going soggy before you can eat it. Result.

[1] Or so I hear[2]
[2] Hi David
[3] Did I just say that?

Can I really keep this up?

This morning’s weight was slightly up to 200.0 pounds (14 stone 4 pounds, 90.7kg). Mutter. I’m sure all this exercise will have some effect before too long, though…

I had to get the bus to work this morning. Well, I could have walked, but I’d have got a bit wet[1], and I didn’t fancy sitting around the office all day in wet clothes. The rain soon stopped though, so I had my usual stroll at lunchtime, and walked home as usual.

This evening’s exercise activity was 20 minutes on the rowing machine, with a peak heart rate of 152, which suggests it might be time to increase the resistance on the rower.

[1] Another understatement thingy :eek2:
