Lazier Sunday

Sunday morning’s weight was up to 210.4 pounds (15 stone 0.4 pounds, 95.4kg). This is, of course, over one of those psychologicackle arbitrary limit thingies, and is therefore a Bad Thing, but as my motivation is still running low, I’m not going to worry about this for now.

I had some vague ideas about going out today, but other than collecting my washing, I didn’t bother.

On the other hand, I did get round to a few online activities. I’ve ordered a USB phone to use with Skype, which I’ve decided to give a try[1]. Calls to other Skype users are free, and calls to real phones are about a penny a minute – and that includes calls to a lot of other countries, so it’s worth a try. VOIP[2] can be a little variable in quality, but I’m told that a lot of the time it’s as good as normal phone line quality. I tried a call using my PC microphone and speakers, which wasn’t very good, but the phone I’ve ordered should be better.

I also made a few minor refinements to the layout of Losing it[1], but nothing of any great significance. Other than fixing a few of the little mistakes I’d made when I upgraded to version 2.0.2 of WordPress[3].

Hmmm. So maybe it wasn’t that lazy a Sunday after all.

[1] Been meaning to for ages, but that tuit shortage struck again
[2] Voice over Internet Protocol – calls go over existing broadband connections rather than phone lines
[3] Note to self: it’s a good idea to upload a clean set of files, but don’t forget to include the script that makes the Lescam work.
