Astronomers lean towards eight planets – space – 22 August 2006 – New Scientist Space
So, following on from last week’s proposal, another one has been gaining support at the IAU. Rather than taking us up to twelve planets, this will demote Pluto and take us back to eight. Which won’t be at all popular with some people…
The final vote is later this week.
