I’ve always liked taking pictures of the sky, but before I got the Canon 30D, I never had anything that would let me take even vaguely useful pictures of the Moon. This is far from perfect, but there’s a reasonable amount of detail visible, which is a good sign.
It was taken through the window with the camera on a tripod. I used the Sigma zoom lens at its long (300mm) end. Settings were automatic, and magic was performed in Photoshop to fix a slight over-exposure problem.
