Well, a foot, anyway. But I’ve always wanted to say that[1]. This is a detail from yet another of Newcastle’s sculptures, Vulcan, which is in front of Central Square, a building located behind the railway station. I haven’t been round that part of town for more years than I can remember, and I don’t recall seeing it before. I took a few pictures, some of which I’m pleased with, and I’ll be putting them on show in a day or two.

But in the meantime, here’s one that I particularly like – just a detail of the rather large[2] sculpture. More to come.

Westgate House update

I’d planned to have another lunchtime walk with my camera today, and when I was alerted to the current state of Westgate House, I knew I’d have to go there again. As you can see, part of the wrapping has been peeled back, allowing a view of the work. I’ve got lots more pictures of this, and some other Newcastle sights, but you’ll have to wait for those…
