Today, I went back to the slightly more energetic (and slightly longer) walk to and from work. Yes, I went down Bottle Bank and over the Swing Bridge. I kept a good pace going up Dean Street, and so I arrived at work ever so slightly out of breath, which is probably a Good Thing. Walked home by the same route. My knees did make a rude remark about going up Bottle Bank, but I ignored them and carried on anyway.
I did another 10km on the exercise bike this evening. My heart rate monitor seems to be having difficulties, as it kept telling my my heart was going at a rate that would quite possibly be fatal. It settled down after a while and suggested that my actual peak rate was around 142, which sounds about right, as I worked a bit more slowly than last night.
 Hi Sam!
