Artwork lights up Tyneside bridge

I’ll have to make the effort to go and have a look at the Metro bridge over the Tyne after dark. Now that the paint job, which has already dramatically changed the appearance of the bridge[1], the new lighting installation has been turned on at last. This uses lots of LED lamps to give an ever-changing pattern of light and colour. The running cost of the lamps is minimal, and I like the idea of a bridge becoming an artwork.
