You know, I had intended to do one of my helpful “Lightroom update available” posts at the weekend, after installing Lightroom 1.4 and indeed the latest Camera Raw update for Photoshop. On this occasion, it seems it was a Good Thing that I didn’t get round to it, as it turns out that there’s a nasty couple of bugs affecting these versions. Adobe have removed the updates from their download site and published details of how to revert to the previous versions for people who have already upgraded:
On the Mac, at least, the reversion was a painless operation – drag application to Trash, locate an additional file and drag to Trash, then reinstall. Serial numbers and registration details are not affected by this process.
