WordPress 2.7 Navigation Options Survey

Yes, WordPress 2.7 is being developed and more changes are coming. Quite apart from the long-demanded built-in automagic update feature, which should help a lot more people keep up to date with security and feature updates, there are more changes coming to the admin interface.

I found the changes made to the interface in 2.5 to be painful to use and lacking any facility to customise the thingy to my requirements. A good dose of plugins sorted that out for me, but it looks like 2.7 might make me a happier bunny. It’s got the sidebar navigation that’s been in the Crazyhorse test version, and which has a certain similarity to that found in the excellent Fluency admin plugin, but adds a few nice touches of its own. And it will once again be possible to tweak, twiddle and adjust the posting page as much as anyone might wish. Good stuff for me, but I’m sure there will be some people who won’t like it.

Anyway, the point of all this babble is that the developers are asking for input on how the navigation thingy should be arranged.
