Sheeps!

Yes, it’s another one from last summer. One of the many preserved buildings at what is now (and oddly) called St Fagans: National History Museum[1] is an old tollgate and house, which has this sign on the side:

It was only when I looked at the image in Lightroom that I noticed that there’s a toll for “Sheeps”. What? Not sheepses?

[1] Colons seem to be in these days. After its extensive and impressive redevelopment, Newcastle’s Hancock Museum has become Great North Museum: Hancock, which makes it sound like a sequel to something or other…

No change today, how exciting!

For today’s bit of photography, here’s a quick dip into my mass of unchecked pictures from last July. It’s a gull[1] I saw at Penarth. It wasn’t until I looked at the image full size that I realised that I’d actually managed to freeze its motion and capture a fair amount of detail:
