Doctor Who is back

A more coherent and sensible post about the opening episode of the new series may follow later. This is the initial reaction thingy.

And here is that first reaction:

Meep. Wibble. Gibber. Wooooooooooooo Hooooooooooooooo

Lots of post-regeneration fun, a bit of the old wibbly wobbly timey wimeyness, and the Doctor manages to be Tigger for a few minutes[1].

Quite apart from dealing with an alien threat, getting a fully refurbished TARDIS and a new sonic screwdriver, the regenerated Doctor settles into proper Doctorness in superb style.

And there’s a set up that sounds like it will lead to some fun in future stories.

Mr Steven Moffat Sir has indeed delivered, and that Matt Smith bloke is pretty damn good, too.

[1] No, really. If you’ve read The House at Pooh Corner where the bouncy one first appears, you’ll know what I mean.
