Weight and Stuff Report – 7 June 2010

Down just a teeny bit today.

Your picture for Monday is a detail of the Pierhead Building at Cardiff Bay:

Pierhead Clock

There’s a load of intricate detail in the brickwork that can barely be seen from the ground. I presume it was put there for the benefit of the birds.

Ah, now I see a big red “No Hotlinking” sign in google reader! I was getting used to the broken images, but not sure I like this sign malarkey[1][2].

    [1] What a great word!
[2] What? A whole post with no footnotes?

Bother. Google reader had been behaving itself last time I looked. The pretty no hotlinking image is intended for the weasels who like to link to my smilies on forums, but it appears to be a little too enthusiastic, despite the developer’s claims, so I suppose I’ll have to turn it off. Stand by for images in Gooooogle reader.

      Try that[3]. I’ve turned off the hotlinkery[4] thingy[5].

[3] Looking at posts in Goooogle Reader, that is[6]
[4] I may have invented that word
[5] Or “plugin”, if you want to be technical[7]
[6] I found it was being a bit random when I was at work today. Some images were appearing, others were getting the hotlink treatment. I blame Steve Ballmer[8].
[7] I try to avoid doing that when I’m not at work
[8] I’ve seen him in person, you know[9]
      [9] Is that enough footnotes?

Oh, and yes, “malarkey” is indeed a good word. Congratulations on spelling it correctly. A lot of people seem to have trouble with that sort of thing.

Oh dear – I have to confess I only got it write because web browsers these days have spell checkers built in :(

I look forward to wonderful imageness…

And yes, that was quite enough footnotes for one post…
