Back down a bit today. Must be the walking thing…

After getting the pictures of the Car Park demolition, I remember there was something else I needed to see. Tornado is, and I quote from the sign:

a temporary public artwork by Fiona Banner. Banner has transformed a decommissioned RAF Tornado plane, ZE728, into a large bell which can be rung by all who encounter it.

Apparently the bell can’t be rung before 10am, and the clapper was locked off. Though there were also “temporarily closed” signs on the frame, so maybe it can’t be rung even after then. Either way, it’s a nicely impressive bell:

It's a bell, made from metal melted down from a retired RAF Torando.
