Journalism Warning Labels

Now this is what I call useful. Tom Scott has produced some handy labels which he’s been putting in appropriate places on newspapers.  Things like

Warning: Statistics, survey results and/or equations in this article were sponsored by a PR company.

and one specially for the Daily Fail and its habit of reporting that everything either causes or cures cancer, if not both:

Warning: Medical claims in this article have not been verified by peer-reviewed research

and more. There’s even a handy PDF you can use to print your own stickers, should you feel the need. And you probably should.
