While I don’t really get all that concerned about it, I do keep an eye on my website stats, so I have at least a vague notion of how many people are popping in here, which posts are proving more popular, and all that kind of thing. Apart from the occasional insane traffic spike, the graph is generally pretty level, so I did wonder a bit when it seemed to drop quite a bit over the last few days:
I was even more confused when I googled myself earlier. All the other bits and bobs I have were there, but Losing it seemed to be altogether absent. I thought that maybe when I’d filled in various options in the Suffusion theme that perhaps I’d left out the bit about including my name in the meta tags. Well, there was that, but it was more the fact that when I copied over the settings from my test site, I forgot to disable the “don’t let Google see this” setting.
I’ve now unticked it, and saved the settings, so I should reappear in Google before too long, and people might start being directed here again.
You may, briefly, mock.
Yes, it’s a filthy habit, but I like to make sure that there isn’t another Les Bessant appearing higher in the listings than me
Permitted mockery period ends at 03:15 UK time on 4 May 2011. Anyone mocking after that time will themselves be mocked.
