Crashplan – Interim Report 2

Well, it’s just over a month since I last mentioned CrashPlan, so it’s as good a time as any for an update. Here’s the graph:

CrashPlan - Nearly There

CrashPlan - Nearly There

So it still appears to be working, and as I suggested last time, I did indeed pay for a year’s service, which proved to be a painless operation. Not so much the payment, as the fact that as soon as I’d paid, the application was issued with its licence without me having to enter any codes. Nicely done.

And another thing – why is it that when I post things, I don’t notice the most insane typos, but when I go back to refer to old posts, the damn things jump up and down shouting “look at me”? I suspect there may be some word weevils rearranging letters after I press “Publish”. That would account for it.

Started somewhere around 6 April, so it looks like it’ll be about two months to get it all done. Then it’s just going to back up changes..

If I was in the US, I’d have happily paid for that service! But I’m happy enough with the upload speed – you guys seem to be taking my data as fast as I can upload it, and if it comes to a major restore, I’ve got a seriously fast download speed
