Back up a bit today, after yesterday’s unexpected low, but there’s definitely a downward trend there, so that’s acceptable for now.
I didn’t walk to work today, as I needed to get to the station to get a train to Leeds. I allow myself loads of time for this kind of thing, even though this often leads to me having to wait over half an hour for a train. But today my careful planning paid off, as my bus broke down. I’m pretty sure it was the same one I was on yesterday evening – it had the same problem of the the engine cutting out and having a bit of a problem going up hills. Well, Bensham Bank proved too much for it, so we all had to get off and wait for the next one. But I was still at the station with time to spare, so there.
Your picture for today is of the Shields ferry, making good progress across the Tyne despite the heavy wind.
