Oooh! Down a pound today, taking me to a new low for the year. Of course, starting the month on a new low is a bit of a mixed wossname, as it makes it more of a challenge to have a significantly lower weight at the end of the month.
Today, I actually did the thing I made arrangements for yesterday. And in the process, I finally crossed something of my mental tuit list that’s been nagging me for years. I went to Beamish, which used to call itself the North of England Open Air Museum, but now prefers to be thought of as The Living Museum of the North. More on that in a separate trip report, but for the moment, you can have a look at where I walked on the Garmin thingy.
I did, of course, take lots of pictures at Beamish, but as I haven’t taken them off the camera yet, here’s one I took this morning – it was taken at an angle through dirty glass, so it’s not the best quality, but if you compare it with yesterday’s report, you’ll see that progress is being made. That new town centre should be open in no time!
