Bad Luck?

While I was in the vicinity of the North Pier yesterday, I had a look at the information board, which describes the history of the Tyne Piers and all the usual kind of stuff. This bit is particularly interesting:

Now I’d have thought that most ships could only be wrecked once. Maybe there was a thriving industry in recovering, repairing and relaunching wrecks? Or maybe that’s not quite what they meant…
