Oh good, down again today. Just need to keep that going…
I’d almost decided to get the bus to work this morning. It was quite tempting, really. I’ve got some good reading matter on my Kindle, and it was very cold and icy. But somehow, I persuaded myself that a bit of exercise would be a Good Thing, and I walked. It took a bit longer than normal, because I was taking care not to fall on the ice that was pretty much everywhere, but I made it in one piece. Not that Garmin Fit wants to confirm that – it had a distinct case of GPSFAIL today, as you can see:
Contrary to what the map suggests, I didn’t fly over Price Consort Road and land somewhere near the Central bar.
Today’s picture is from Saturday’s Wearside wander. This is the final stage of Taking Flight, one of the many sculptures to be found on the trail that runs from near Roker to Wearmouth. I last photographed this back in 2006, in the early days of just getting to grips with my old 30D. It was nice to see it in completely different light, and to see how it’s weathered a bit.
