Weight and Stuff Report – 12 March 2012

Down a wee bit today, good stuff. Well, not that good, but it’ll do for today.

I had another walk to the Quayside at lunchtime. The last four bollards are still there, but they’ve been lifted up a bit and look ready to be extracted:

Pull them out already!

While I was in the vicinity, I took a couple more pictures with the Pentax Q’s art filters. I quite like this one of the Baltic:

I was going to walk a bit further, but Q decided to flash a “low battery” message and stop playing. As it happens, this was a false alarm, as when I popped the battery out and back in, normal service resumed. But it did remind me to install the firmware update that Pentax have released. The update makes vague reference to “stability improvements”, and a battery bug would fall under that heading, I suppose.

Talking of things not behaving, once again the Garmin app decided to suffer from GPSFAIL, as you can see:

So, I plotted my route in actual detail:

I’ve got a theory about the Garmin GPS failures, and I’ll carry out an experiment next time I have a walk…
