Weight and Stuff Report – 19 March 2012

Ooooh, down again today.

It was bright and sunny this morning, but once again I didn’t have time to walk in, but I did take the Canon 5D Mark II in my UNDFIND bag. I took it down to the Quayside at lunchtime to see if the Millennium Bridge could now be seen in its new bollard-free state. And indeed it could:

Look! No bollards!

Look! No bollards!

Finally, the bridge can be seen as its designers intended. And it looks quite nice from the other side, too:

Bridges with no bollards

Bridges with no bollards

As you can see from the pictures, the bright sunshine had been replaced by scattered cloud, but it was still a nice enough day for it. Though not everyone is happy. I think this guy was wondering where his perches had gone…

Nowhere to land!

Nowhere to land!

      (1) It’ll keep on being used while people keep not being in work, mutter, mutter

      (2) Numerous examples all over this very site, such as here, here, and indeed here

      (3) No, not really. What with spam blacklists, annoying installers and broken software…
