Gateshead Millennium Bridge – before and after

I had a few questions about what the bridge looked like with the bollards. Well, I had some time this morning, so I had a quick dig in my Lightroom catalog and found a few images that should give you the idea. I took the opportunity to give the older ones a bit of treatment to make them a bit clearer. Both Lightroom and I have got better at that kind of thing over the years.

Here’s a vertical view of the bridge reflected in the river:

I’m going to have to go back and get a new version of this wide-angle view:

With the Sigma 12-24mm lens at its widest, the full-frame sensor of the 5D MK II captures a wider view of the bridges...

Finally, the Gateshead Millennium Bridge can be seen as was originally intended.
