Weight and Stuff Report – 15 June 2012

Down a teeny bit today, which is more than likely purely random. Or something.

It’s been another wet day, so all I did at lunchtime was have a quick walk in search of a sarnie. Newcastle was busy, presumably with people eager to see some other people carrying a torch. I couldn’t really see the attraction of that, so I came straight home after work. This was made slightly slower by the crowds heading down to the Quayside to see whatever they do when someone brings a torch there.

Talking of torchy things, I was interested to see what happened when I took a picture of this warning sign on the Tyne Bridge. As I was using my new 50mm lens with a rather wide aperture, the exposure was short enough to catch the display in a partial state. To the eye, it seamlessly changed from one message to the next, but it seems there’s more than that going on:
