Weight and Stuff Report – 26 September 2012

Oh no! A rise today! Well, after losing over eight pounds (the best part of 4kg, even) over the last few days, a small rise is actually something of a relief, and a sign of a return to what passes for normal service.

The rain has mostly stayed away today, but I still got the bus to work. I’ll cite lack of energy as my excuse, so there. But I did manage a moderate walk at lunchtime, whcih included a brief visit to the Laing Art Gallery to see the Futureland Now photographic exhibition. As with many such things, there was work I enjoyed (big prints of industrial  scenes, mostly) and some that just had me wondering what the point was (loads of images of people with glow sticks showing messages in semaphore[1]). But it’s worth a look, and perhaps the stuff that didn’t work for me might for you.

Anyway, the walk:

And the picture. This bored guard is one of a number of artworks which don’t need explanations and which can be found at Conwy Castle, which is also worth a visit.
