OK, this may not be one of the snowmen we’ll be seeing in the Doctor Who Christmas Special, but it does look a little odd. Just what is it doing with its hands?!

More stuff later, depending on this and that,  but for now here’s a picture. This is a detail of the Pierhead Building at Cardiff Bay, which shows the motto of the Cardiff Railway Corporation, Wrth ddwr a than, or “by water and fire” if you prefer the English version[1].

Doctor Who Adventure Calendar 2012

In order to build up some more excitement (as if that was needed) for the Christmas Special, the BBC Doctor Who site has an advent adventure calendar running. Something new will be revealed every day until the 25th, or Doctor Who Day as I prefer to think of it.

Today being the first of December, the first item is on show – it’s a video in which new companion Jenna-Louise Coleman talks about her auditions and working with Matt Smith. It also includes some nice little clips from the Christmas Special, which features some slightly unusual snowmen…
