Had a busy and productive day in the Bristol office. Setting up new computers, setting up new users, moving some stuff around, and so on and indeed so forth. I went for a walk at lunchtime, mainly because I needed to get some power strips for the desks I’d been setting up, but also for the general walkiness. While I was out, I saw some pretty cool street art, including this:
After I finished for the day, I got back to the hotel and unwound for a bit before going out for some food. My plan was to go to the closer of the two convenient branches of Pizza Express, but when I got there, it was very busy, and I was told I’d probably have to wait about 25 minutes for a table. I decided to walk on to the other branch, where I was able to get a table immediately – iit was just quieting down after a busy period. I had the usual bruschetta con funghi, Etna pizza and I may have added a banoffee pie. There may also have been a glass or two of Pinot Grigio in there somewhere. I then walked back to the hotel, bringing my step total to the rather high number you can see above, which Fitbit reckons was over six miles.
I’d half-convinced myself that I might enjoy a final glass of wine in the hotel bar, but was put off the idea by the fact that there was a large screen showing some weird activity involving kicking a ball around. Not my kind of thing at all, so I decided not to bother.
