Oh dear, up again today. As I had to do the washing, and it was a bit of a dull grey day anyway, I had a quiet day in. Quite apart from catching up on some of the stuff my TiVo has been recording for me, I gave my MacBook Air a clean. That’s an electronic clean, as in a wipe and reinstall, as well as a physical clean. It’s been running without major incident for over two years, and I thought it was a good time to clean up all the redundant stuff that’s been installed over that time. I’ve also started the old iMac on the road to being sold – I’ve set it off to thoroughly wipe the hard disc before giving it a clean basic install of OS X. This will take a while, as I’ve gone for the moderately thorough wipe to make sure all my personal data is gone.
Today’s picture is of Queen Victoria, as seen in Tynemouth.

I’ve had two instances of the display going funny, which have been resolved by the highly technical method of turning it off and on again. Both occurred while away from home and using either the MiFi or the iPhone as a hotspot, so it’s probably Three’s fault
That’s the US Department of Defense satisfying seven passes rather than the seriously paranoid 35 passes option
As they like to spell it
