Weight and Stuff Report – 16 April 2013

Down a bit more today, good stuff.

I had a short walk at lunchtime, and in a shocking development, walked home, after a bit of persuasion[1]. The walk gave me a chance to take a few more photographs with the X100S, which is coming along nicely. It also saw the first instance of its battery running down, but as I had a charged spare in my bag[2], that wasn’t a problem.

Here’s a sample photo from this evening. This is a JPG given minor adjustments in some new software I’ll mention shortly.

[1] Hi Aaron   [3]
[2] Having learned from previous experience with the X100. Unlike the Canon, where two bars on the battery mean you can expect to carry on for ages, two bars on the X!00 and the X100S mean you’d better have another battery handy. I already had one spare, and I’ve ordered another one, so I can always have one in the camera, one ready to go, and one on charge.
