Down just a wee bit today. As you might guess if you noticed the step count, I’ve done a bit of walking today. I started unusually early, leaving the house before 8:30 to pay my first visit to the shiny new Gateshead Tesco’s. I managed to beat the bank holiday weekend crowds, and indeed any first weekend in a new shop crowds, and did the shopping. Nice not to have to trek a lot further, as I have been doing since April last year.
I got home, had my slightly delayed breakfast, and decided to waste no time at all in getting out with the Fujifilm X100S, as after a couple of weeks of the weather being generally miserable, not to mention wet, windy and often quite chilly for the time of year, and despite it being the beginning of a long weekend, it’s been a bright, warm and sunny day.
My first thought was a return trip to York, as it would have been a nice day for a walk around the walls, but as it was early enough, and the train times worked out, I revised that plan and went to Edinburgh instead.
A full report will follow, but for now here’s the walk detail:
Numerous photographs were taken, and some will appear later. For now, this is the statue of Scots poet Robert Ferguson:
